The Z-Tune had a 0–100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time of 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of over 327 km/h (203 mph). With the new displacement of 2.8 L and upgraded turbochargers the Z1 engine was rated at 373 kW (500 hp). As with the racing vehicles a strengthened engine block and stroked crankshaft were utilised. This engine was based on Nissan's Le Mans GT2 and GT500 racing experiences. It was built with a concept RB26DETT 'Z1' engine. The first Z-tune was built in 2003, using a used 2002 Skyline GT-R V Nismo originally designed the concept of the Z-tune in 2002 when Nissan was putting an end to the R34 Skyline production. Spec II carbon bonnet which was now unpainted.Spec II were built for Japan, with an additional 2 being sold for the New Zealand market. With the exception of the carbon fibre bonnet, the standard trim level GT-R also received these updates. The seats were upholstered with black cloth rather than the gray cloth used on previous R34 GT-R models, and the amber turn lenses were replaced with white versions. Spec II was an iridium center console and aluminium pedals. It also comes equipped with a carbon fibre bonnet equipped with a NACA duct, which is lighter than the aluminium that all other GT-R bonnets are made from. Spec II has increased stiffness in the suspension and had larger rear brake rotors.Spec model also had firmer suspension and lower ground clearance, thanks to front and side splitters, as well as a rear carbon fibre air diffuser, designed to keep air flowing smoothly under the car.Spec models come equipped with the ATTESA E-TS Pro system and an Active LSD at the rear, while standard GT-R models come with the non-Pro system and a conventional mechanical differential. The R34 GT-R was made shorter in response to customer concerns who thought the R33 was too bulky. Spec model added two extra features to the display: intake and exhaust gas temperatures.Nismo Multi-function Displays (MFD) could be bought at an extra cost, they included a lap timer, G-Force meter and an increase in boost pressure measurement to 2 bar.The valve covers were painted glossy red (colour code Cherry Red Effect Z24), as opposed to black in previous models.Ī new feature on the R34 GT-R is a 5.8" LCD multifunction display on the center of the dashboard, which shows seven different live readings of engine and vehicle statistics such as turbocharger pressure, oil and water temperature, among others. The R34 GT-R was shorter (from front to rear), and the front overhang was reduced as compared to its predecessor. The One:1, a sibling of the highly competitive Agera R, follows in the footsteps of the CCXR as it also runs on E85 biofuel, race fuel or normal gasoline. The BNR34 (R34) Skyline GT-R was introduced in January 1999. Koenigsegg was the first extreme car manufacturer to take steps toward green technology with the release of the biofuel CCXR in 2007. Large air vents for improved cooling, roof air scoop to support the 1 Megawatt of power, 8250 RPM rev limit, complemented with custom-made Michelin Cup Tires, upgraded rear Triplex suspension with carbon bevel springs and active shock absorbers and ride height, combined with upgraded revolutionary Koenigsegg Aircore carbon fiber wheels. The One:1 featured new, unique solutions that enhance track performance without compromising top speed or everyday usability, with a stunning visual appearance to go with it.Įxamples of features: unique track-optimized aero winglets, extended venturi tunnels and side splitters, Le-Mans inspired active wing configuration and optimized active under trim air management. The One:1 truly raised the performance bar. The One:1 is the first homologated production car in the world with one Megawatt of power, thereby making it the world´s first series produced Megacar. This is the “dream” equation, previously thought impossible when it comes to fully road legal and usable sports cars. The hp-to-kg curb weight ratio is an astonishing 1:1. This was one of the most exclusive production car programs ever envisaged in the car industry. Seven examples, including one prototype, were built during 20.
